JUNE
First Sunday of June
Heading: The Strength of Community
Verse: Acts 2:42 (They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to
fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.)
In sociology, strong communities thrive on shared values and support. The early
church modeled this, energizing faith through fellowship and devotion. We must
eliminate isolation and exchange it for connection, building relationships that
reflect God’s eternal kingdom. This unity strengthens us for life’s challenges.
Empathy fosters this community, like a neighbor helping in a crisis. This
Sunday, engage in fellowship—perhaps by joining a group or reaching out to a
friend. Encourage someone to connect with others, pointing them to the eternal
bond of Christ’s body.
God of unity, strengthen our community. Help me eliminate isolation and exchange it for fellowship, energizing our faith. With empathy, encourage others to connect, building Your eternal kingdom. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
Second Sunday of June
Heading: The Hope of Restoration
Verse: Revelation 21:5 (He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making
everything new!”)
In environmental science, restoration projects revive damaged ecosystems. Jesus
promises to make all things new, energizing our hope in His eternal
restoration. We must eliminate despair over brokenness and exchange it for
trust in His renewal. This hope inspires us to live with purpose today.
Encouraging others with this promise, like a therapist offering hope for
recovery, shows empathy. This Sunday, reflect on an area of your life needing
renewal. Share this hope with someone struggling, pointing them to the eternal
restoration Christ brings.
Lord, renew all things in me. Help me eliminate despair and exchange it for hope, energizing my spirit. With empathy, encourage others toward restoration, trusting in Your eternal promise. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
Third Sunday of June
Heading: The Power of Gratitude
Verse: 1 Thessalonians 5:18 (Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is
God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.)
In psychology, gratitude improves mental health and resilience. Paul calls us
to give thanks always, energizing our perspective with joy. We must eliminate
grumbling and exchange it for gratitude, trusting God’s eternal goodness. This
practice transforms our hearts and witnesses to others.
Empathy helps us share gratitude, like a friend celebrating another’s success.
This Sunday, list three things you’re thankful for, even in hardship. Encourage
someone by sharing your gratitude, pointing them to the eternal source of all
blessings.
Gracious God, fill me with thanks. Help me eliminate grumbling and exchange it for gratitude, energizing my heart. With empathy, encourage others to give thanks, praising Your eternal goodness. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
Fourth Sunday of June
Heading: The Call to Persevere
Verse: Galatians 6:9 (Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper
time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.)
In agriculture, consistent effort yields a harvest over time. Paul urges us to
persevere in doing good, energizing us with the promise of eternal reward. We
must eliminate fatigue and exchange it for endurance, trusting God’s timing.
This perseverance blesses others and glorifies God.
Empathy supports others’ perseverance, like a coach motivating a tired athlete.
This Sunday, reflect on a good deed you can continue despite weariness.
Encourage someone to keep going, pointing them to the eternal harvest of God’s
faithfulness.
Father, sustain me in doing good. Help me eliminate
weariness and exchange it for endurance, energizing my efforts. With empathy,
encourage others to persevere, trusting in Your eternal harvest.
