APRIL

First Sunday of April
Heading: The Strength of Weakness
Verse: 2 Corinthians 12:9 (My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.)

In medicine, acknowledging a weakness—like a diagnosis—leads to healing. Paul teaches that God’s grace shines in our weaknesses, energizing us when we’re frail. We must eliminate pride and exchange it for reliance on God’s strength, which carries eternal power. This dependence transforms our struggles into testimonies of His grace.

Empathy allows us to support others in their weaknesses, like a doctor comforting a patient. This Sunday, reflect on a personal weakness and how God’s grace sustains you. Encourage someone struggling by sharing this truth, pointing them to the eternal strength found in Christ.

Gracious God, perfect Your power in my weakness. Help me eliminate pride and exchange it for reliance on You, energizing my faith. With empathy, encourage others in their struggles, resting in Your eternal grace. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Second Sunday of April
Heading: The Call to Faithful Witness
Verse: Acts 1:8 (You will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.)

In law, a witness provides testimony that shapes a case’s outcome. Jesus calls us to be His witnesses, sharing His love to energize others’ faith. This requires eliminating fear and exchanging it for boldness, trusting in the Spirit’s eternal power. Our testimony can transform lives, pointing others to Christ.

Empathy helps us share this witness authentically, like a friend listening before offering advice. This Sunday, consider how you can share your faith story with someone. Encourage them with a simple act of kindness, reflecting the eternal hope of Jesus’ message.

Holy Spirit, empower me to witness. Help me eliminate fear and exchange it for boldness, energizing my testimony. With empathy, encourage others to share Your love, rooted in Your eternal power. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Third Sunday of April
Heading: The Beauty of God’s Design
Verse: Romans 1:20 (For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen.)

In science, nature’s complexity reveals intricate design, from galaxies to DNA. Paul teaches that creation reflects God’s eternal power, energizing our worship. We must eliminate doubts about God’s existence and exchange them for awe, seeing His hand in the world. This perspective deepens our faith and esteem for our Creator.

Empathy connects us to others seeking meaning, like a philosopher exploring life’s purpose. This Sunday, spend time in nature and reflect on God’s design. Encourage someone to see His beauty in creation, pointing them to the eternal truth of His presence.

Creator God, open my eyes to Your design. Help me eliminate doubt and exchange it for awe, energizing my worship. With empathy, encourage others to see Your beauty, trusting in Your eternal power. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Fourth Sunday of April
Heading: The Assurance of Salvation
Verse: 1 John 5:13 (I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.)

In psychology, certainty reduces anxiety and fosters confidence. John assures us of eternal life through faith in Jesus, eliminating fear of judgment and energizing our hope. This assurance empowers us to live boldly, exchanging doubt for trust in God’s promise. Our confidence in salvation becomes a beacon for others.

Encouraging others with this truth, like a counselor affirming a client’s worth, shows empathy. This Sunday, reflect on the certainty of your salvation. Share this hope with someone, perhaps through a kind word, pointing them to the eternal life found in Christ.

Father, thank You for eternal life. Help me eliminate fear and exchange it for confidence, energizing my hope. With empathy, encourage others with this assurance, rooted in Your eternal promise. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
